Having discussed the safety aspects of self launching with a smoke grenade attached to the plane, I was so obsessed with H&S that I forgot to power up before launching the trusty Easy Star. After a high alpha stall and plummet, Malcolms Rafale was promptly repaired and flies again "good as new". Sadly since this video, it is no longer as good as new LOL. Luckily he has a spare!!

9:34 that looks like a scaled down KK Senator. Built one in 1975 but lost it on it's maiden.
Yes I think it is and it's built to meet the Bostonian rules for size etc. Flew nicely anyway.
Oh that's just beautiful! Lush light and colours, has that 'golden hour' feel. The rainbow is a beautiful spot, and that's a great swoopy cruisy site! You'd think the water tower would tempt me most, but it's actually those biiig earth berms and the trees :)
Yes, for quad flying we can launch from the car park to the west or by the sports hall. Just need some decent weather now.

Yes sure. I will let you know the next time I go there. You can see my car parked as the lone car in the car park in front of the nurses accommodation. The others had gone by then.

Amazing. Any tips for a beginner? My planes just dive straight into the ground..or fly erraticallyup down like yoyo (and then dive into ground) and flights last about 3 seconds no matter what trimmings i try..or maybe recommend a book i can read to improve?
I'm not sure about books but there is plenty of stuff on the internet search for trimming indoor planes. Adding a bit of nose weight often helps in getting planes to fly better, so may be worth trying. Good luck.

It's stock out of the box. He moved the CG forward a bit and it flew better once he had done that. I think he eventually had the CG 5 mm at least forward of the recommended position.

I found plenty of stuff on the internet but it was all a bit long winded. Are you in the UK? If so I would recommend looking up Midair models on the internet. He sells great kits for indoor FF that always fly well. We like the Tradfly model. If you search RUclips you will find plenty of videos of our club flying the Tradfly.
I love it… “THEY’RE MATING!!!” I don’t use all the Carbon Fiber “twigs” for reinforcement when possible… Makes for less “grappling” when the Formation becomes one! I want one but no place to fly indoors and it’s to windy in south Florida for that one outside except “Dawn Patrol”. Remember Jesus Loves You🖖🏻

Oh dear, a complete Muppet show! The Tx should only be passed over when all boxes are confidently ticked (close, throttled back, into wind, agreed heading, acceptable rates, both parties happy etc.) I learned this the hard way once myself...........

You already answered my question about what camera, height is a most unique perspective. What might be an idea for pilots of umanned craft is a flying visor that moves with the pilots head so that you can reference to the horizon on three points from an aircraft perspective and have markers on the wings for the 45 degree climb as on some stunt/aerobatic aircraft.
Yes, there are head tracking systems available but it adds to the complexity which is why I have avoided them. The camera has a 155 degree field of view so is quite wide angle. It tends to look higher than the aircraft really is and when pulling the nose up in this video you see the horizon bend like a fish eye lens.
